The 3DO Company announced that it has retained the services of investment banking firm Alliant Partners to assist the Company in a comprehensive evaluation of its strategic alternatives aimed at maximizing stakeholder value and negotiating potential transactions for the Company. James (Jim) L. Kochman, President & CEO of Alliant Partners will head the engagement.
The retention of Alliant Partners has been approved by the Bankruptcy Court overseeing the Chapter 11 case commenced by the Company on May 28, 2003. Alternatives to be considered may include a sale of all or some of the Company's assets or formulation of a plan of reorganization in the Chapter 11 case. The 3DO Company's common stock is currently trading in the pink sheets under the symbol THDOQ.
